Teddy Egan is a 2018 C/OF/RHP with a 6-0 177 lb. frame from Milton, GA who attends Cambridge HS. Lean athletic build, has some present strength with plenty of room for more. Runs well for a catcher, 7.00 in the sixty, 4.29 home to first. Has quick athletic actions behind the plate, long and full arm action with good carry on his throws, will need to shorten his actions shifting and throwing defensively but has the athleticism to do that. Left handed hitter, leg lift load with a high hand start, front foot is occasionally late getting down, has a short and compact swing with a line drive swing plane, contact approach, waits back well on off speed pitches, works the ball around the field and runs hard on contact. Also pitched, back turn delivery, 3/4's arm action, some back side collapse, medium effort on release. Upper 70's fastball, gets nice running and sinking action, ground ball pitcher. Tends to slow arm and get under curveball. Good student.
