Jacob Safarian is a 2017 SS with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Belleville, IL who attends St Louis University HS. Has a medium frame, lean build, and room to continue to fill out physically as he puts on additional muscle. Posted a 7.24 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, shows good quickness and athleticism. Displayed quick transfers and release into throws with arm strength up to 79 MPH on throws across. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a slightly open stance, narrow base, and a leg lift trigger. Has a middle of the field approach with good strength and consistent contact off the barrel. Showed hard opposite gap ability in games, solid approach overall. Good student.
