2021 Jr. National Showcase
Joel Core is a 2023 C/RHP, 1B, 3B with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Central Pointe Christian School. Recorded an 8.02 second 60-yard dash time. Extra large frame with physicality present to the build. Primary catcher with a tall release and compact arm stroke. Very good arm with carry out of the hand and a best recorded pop time of 1.89 seconds down to the bag. Secondary right-handed pitcher with a leg lift up to the belt and a whippy arm stroke. Sinks the fastball nicely and flashed two secondaries. Secondary infielder who bends at the waist with a very good arm. Fields well out in front and the arm strength is the calling card. Right-handed hitter with a wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Fast hands with a compact stroke and gets the barrel through. Middle of the field line drive approach with good strength off the barrel. Great student. Verbal commitment to Florida International.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
