Brandon Johnson is a 2018 C/OF with a 5-11 169 lb. frame from Clover, SC who attends Clover HS. Has a slender build, lean frame, room to fill out physically as he continues to put on additional muscle. Posted a 7.46 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively behind the plate. Smooth athletic actions, comes forward into reception and receives well, shows footwork through mechanics into release, threw up to 68 MPH down to second base and popped as low as 2.22 seconds. At the plate, starts with a slightly closed stance and a wide base. Small bat wrap start into load, full swing with an aggressive approach. Swings on a slight uphill plane producing natural lift at the point of contact. Displayed good gap to gap line drive ability. Outstanding student.
