Tyler McHolland is a 2016 C/3B with a 5-11 178 lb. frame from Evanston, IL who attends Evanston Twp HS. McHolland has a medium sized frame with some strength. Defensively he has solid catch and throw actions with arm strength up to 70 MPH. McHolland stands to throw on his pops and doesn't gain much ground. He showed some foot quickness and clean transfers. At the plate, McHolland starts with a high back elbow and upright stance. He looks to stay inside the ball and uses a toe tap trigger. McHolland swings on a line drive plane and made solid contact to all fields. He showed some strength in his swing when he was able to get extension at contact. Good student.
