Collin Garner is a 2017 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from St. Augustine, FL who attends Allen D Nease HS. Large frame with solid build throughout at present; body projects very well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.97 seconds. Sets up to hit from open stance with leg lift trigger, keeps hands close to body throughout swing, has strength in swing highlighted by strong forearms/wrists. Found the barrel pretty consistently with a line drive, pull field approach. Solid jump off the barrel at times. Shows quick feet side to side and on the charge in the infield, has range to both sides. Glove plays well at the ball, fields cleanly, shows long and loose arm action with accuracy on throws across the diamond, clocked up to 84 MPH. Pitched as well, uses lower half well into delivery and shows quick arm to overtop slot. Fastball worked 81-82 with some running life; also mixed in a 12/6 CB with solid depth when spun properly. Very good student.
