Damon Suriani is a 2023 C/1B, OF with a 5-9 205 lb. frame from Woolwich, NJ who attends Gloucester Catholic. Recorded a 7.66 second sixty-yard dash time. Compact, strong looking frame with present lower half strength and room to physically mature. Primary catcher with fundamentally sound catch-and-throw skills and plenty of upside. Receives from a higher side-saddled stance with soft hands, quick footwork out of the crouch and efficient mid-line transfers into the release. Gains ground effectively with minimal wasted movements, staying low to the ground, while working into a short arm action that has plenty of present arm speed. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 77 mph during drills and mimicked game like actions that will translate well. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and toe-tap trigger. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to get things going, while displaying tons of strength at impact. Middle-of-the field approach with consistent bat-to-ball skills and burgeoning power potential. Slightly elongated path that can get round at times, but stays rather consistent with his feel for the barrel and timing. Fundamentally sound prospect with advanced catch-and-throw actions, will continue to improve with minor adjustments mechanically and additional physical maturity. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
