Michael Markwordt is a 2017 C/OF with a 5-10 177 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Blessed Trinity Catholic HS. Medium athletic build, good present strength. Switch-hitter, has ability from both sides of the plate, more polished and balanced from the left side, has good bat speed with an aggressive pull oriented swing, bit more spread right handed and tends to get out to his front side early and reach, aggressive hitter who can drive the gaps from both sides. Has good athletic quickness behind the plate, gets rid of the ball quickly, tends to collapse his back side when throwing, can improve with adjustments. Very good student. Named to the Showcase Top Prospect Team.
