Sterling Turmon is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends Eastside. XL frame with broad-shouldered, highly projectable physicality. Ran a 7.00 seconds 60 yard dash. Very quick hands in swing, to and through contact. Drifts forward into contact some but hands allow him to meet ball out front on balance, some leverage when not onto front side too early, pull-field approach with quality bat speed and strength. Shows clean actions in the outfield with good ability to work through the ball, gathers well and shows quick release with excellent arm strength, OF velocity up to 85 MPH. Pitched as well, shows highly athletic delivery with impressive extension due to length of arms. Some hesitation in delivery adds deception. Pitches from high three quarters slot, FB worked 75-80 and topped at 81. Mixed in CH with straighter action but very good deception out of hand. Good student.
