Corey McMann is a 2018 OF/3B with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Liberty Christian HS. Medium frame with a solid, athletic build. Projects for additional strength while maintaining athleticism. Ran a 7.24 sixty yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth, fundamental footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Fields the baseball cleanly off to side with efficient glove to hand exchanges. Long, loose arm action that generates solid carry to the bag with accuracy, topped at 83 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively form the infield showing compact footwork while ranging for and surrounding the baseball. Funnels out front with two hands and works through transition with a double tapped exchange. Releases with full arm action that generates some carry across the infield at 81 miles per hour. Flashed the ability to releases from multiple arm slot while on the run. Right handed hitter with a crouched stance and lower hand set. Repeats a line drive swing plane well with present bat speed and strength to the outfield gaps. Stays balanced throughout with polished actions through extension. Consistently squared up contact throughout batting practice between the outfield gaps. Very good student. Named to the 2016 National Underclass South Showcase Top Prospect List.
