Jake Starck is a 2017 2B/OF, MIF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Venice, FL who attends Venice Senior HS. Has a large frame, solid build, and good strength to his size. Posted a 6.93 second sixty yard dash. From the infield, showed smooth and easy actions and plays below the ball extremely well. Had a quick transfer and release into throws, solid arm strength and accuracy. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a leg lift trigger. Uses a simple approach at the plate, lets the lower half work quickly and stays on a plane for a high contact approach. Showed leverage and strength off the barrel. Could see even more loud contact as he continues to get separation in swing. Great student.
