Brett Steel is a 2018 OF/SS with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Cardinal Newman HS. Large frame with solid present build, body projects yet as well. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.22 seconds. Sets up to hit from wide-based, open stance with leg lift trigger and high hand set. Line drive swing plane to positive launch angle, shows good strength in swing and ultimately off the barrel, drove the ball consistently to the pull field and shows both present and projectable power in offensive game. Worked out defensively from the outfield. Comes in on the ball well, fields cleanly with balanced footwork, compact arm stroke with quick release, threw 76 MPH from OF. Good student.
