Christopher Deitch is a 2017 OF with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Providence HS. Small frame, young lean build that projects with physical maturity. Long arm action in the outfield, nice routes to ball, needs to get on top of throws, flashes arm strength on accurate throws. On the mound, pitches from a three-quarter arm slot, high leg lift, has arm speed that helps generate fastball that topped at 74 mph. Right handed batter who starts from an open, upright stance and shows nice balance through swing. Makes consistent contact, has some bat speed with a line drive swing plane, and gets the barrel through the zone. Very good student.
