Sebastian Velez is a 2019 C/RHP with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Trujillo Alto, PR who attends Central Pointe Christian. Medium frame with a thick build. Ran a 6.88 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Sets up in a high stance. Longer arm circle in the back. Some carry to the bag and stays accurate. Throws topped out at 76 miles per hour and popped a 1.99 in workouts. Switch hitter but only hit from the right side during batting practice. Tall and open stance with a big stride for timing. Short hand path to the ball and can hit to all fields. Line drive hitter with developing power. Good student as well.
