Russell Olive is a 2015 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Chelmsford, MA who attends Chelmsford. Tall, highly athletic frame with good speed and projection. Ran a 7.01 60 yard dash. Works from a balanced delivery and releases from a three-quarter arm slot. Pitches downhill consistently and reaches 79 mph with his fastball. Shows a feel for his 11-5 curveball with good depth at 68 mph. Also mixes a 74 mph changeup with some feel for it. Projects for more velocity. Also played the field, shows sound first base actions and arm strength across the diamond. Bats right-handed, works from an upright setup and produces hard line drives. Good student.
