Haydan Hastings is a 2016 C/OF with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Vista, CA who attends Parker. Large, athletic frame with solid build throughout and quality room for projection. Hits with low hand set, straight/open stance, shows some hand quickness to and through the zone. Shows extension in swing. Shows opposite-field approach with good barrel skills, best contact was made to the pull-field, however. Projectable overall hitting tools. Very impressive defensively behind the plate. Low set with good flex, under control throughout, fluidity throughout actions with explosion out of crouch. Plus accuracy on throws down to 2B, popping as low as 1.90 and throwing 78 MPH. Ran well too, posting a 7.26 60-yard dash time. Very good student, verbal commitment to Gonzaga.
