2013 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Steven Handt is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Bloomington, MN who attends Jefferson HS. Tall gangly build, minimal present strength. Long loose arm action with a deep wrap in back, very early exaggerated hand separation, soft front side with nothing to lever against on release, mid 3/4's release slot. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, occasional cutting action to the glove side, curveball best pitch, shows good depth on occasion, developing change up. Threw strikes from the windup, will have to work on mechanics from the stretch. Good student.
