Tyler Prevatte is a 5'11" left handed pitcher/outfielder in the 2006 class from Austin, Texas. He has some back side collapse in his delivery, but his arm works pretty well from a short arm arch. Prevatte’s fastball was in the 72-74 mph range. His best pitch was a 63-65 mph knuckle curveball that had good downward spin and break to it, and was effective when he kept it down in the strike zone. Prevatte didn’t show a change up during his three innings of work. We expect Prevatte to add more velocity as he continues to mature physically.
