Shawn Mayhew is a 2005 third baseman from Dunbarton HS in Pickering, Ontario, with a lean and athletic 5'11"/165 pound frame. Mayhew has athletic actions in the infield and projects well at third base. He has very good range to his glove side and good body control. As a right handed hitter, he hits from a narrow base with a small stride. He has a no load approach at the plate and a line drive swing plane. Shawn has strength in his swing and is a good contact hitter.
