Rivas has a tall thick build, medium arm action, throws down hill, clean delivery that he repeats well, throws a heavy fastball, online delivery with solid out front extension, good sink and run on fastball, commands both sides of the plate, slider is sharp and late breaking, flashed a change up with same sink and run action as fastball, should be followed closely.
