Andrew Vaughn is a 2015 RHP with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Chickamauga, GA who attends Mccallie HS. Strong, tall frame with a great deal of projection, good athlete. Pitches from an over the top arm slot, arm works well, and keeps his delivery compact. Has a slight hip turn at his balance point, hooks the ball behind his hip, stays in-line and repeats well. Reaches 84 mph with his fastball, spots well. Curveball has 12-6 rotation, needs to be tightened, has the tendency to push this pitch, but spotted it well. Pounds the strike zone, good demeanor. Good student.
