Blake Hickman is a 2012 C/1B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Chicago, IL who attends Simeon HS. Outstanding athletic body, long , loose and strong, still very projectable. Flexible loose lower half, moves well behind the plate, quick soft hands, plus arm strength, good exchange despite length, 1.86 best pop times, tends to move around too much during games. Nice balanced set up hitting, hand drop load, raw hitting skills, develops occasional bat speed with long swing path, inconsistent timing. Raw tools to hit and hit with power. 6.91 runner. Good student, verbal commitment to Iowa.
