2025 PG New England Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Gavin Hayden is a 2026 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 203 lb. frame from Rehoboth, MA who attends Dighton-Rehoboth. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and some present strength, additional room to fill. Ran a 5.38 40-yard dash. Primary third baseman, deliberate footwork on the move with short steps, can continue to refine, shows quickness to arm stroke with a full path through the back, shows nice carry and strength when working on top of throws, hands work out front. Similar arm action at first base, big target for fielders to throw across to, clean feeds on turns to second base, developing footwork coming off the bag and coming through the ball. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base in the box and utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at the plate; can shorten leg lift load for more consistent timing. Utilizes size well and can impact the baseball when squared, looks to lift and pull the ball at the point of contact and able to do so when on time. Good student.
