Clayton Williams is a 2028 OF/LHP, 1B with a 5-5 115 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Murrieta Valley. Features a smaller/lean frame with plenty of room/time to add. Ran a 8.68 60-yd dash. In the OF, showed developing footwork/glovework. Some unsureness to the glove actions at reception where he fielded a bit deeper into his body and booted a couple. Noticeable stutter steps into reception. Used a smaller crow hop that initiated a full/long arm action that got off higher arcing throws with avg. strength for his level. At 1B, he still fielded a bit deeper into his body but looked more comfortable and confident. Fielded most of his GBs clean and shortened up the arm action which allowed for a quicker release. At the plate, he sits in an athletic stance with some slight pre-engagement with his backside. Small lean into back hip before a smaller leg lift trigger into his forward move. He walks away from the hands the load the barrel into a good launch. Barrel takes a longer/flat path with a level finish. Displayed avg. bat/hand speed for his level where his best results were soft liners sent through the middle of the field. On the mound, he worked exclusively from the stretch. Used a hip high knee lift that then was more tall/fall down the mound landing on-line with a shorter stride. Paused at times at peak leg lift to disrupt timing. More of a smaller/clean circle out the glove and to release out of a normal 3/4 slot with avg. armspeed for his level. His fastball worked up to 63 and mixed in a mid 50s breaker that was somewhat effective.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
