Sammy Reed is a 2027 RHP/3B with a 6-6 210 lb. frame from McLean, VA who attends The Heights. 4.41 second sixty yard dash time. Extra tall and well proportioned build with good present strength and more to come. Primary right handed pitcher works from an offset full windup from the first base side of the rubber. Small side step into a belt-high leg lift. Stationary hands at the belly breaking into a slightly off-line arm path that is full in the back. Accelerating through a three- quarter arm angle. Clean down the mound and turns well at foot strike. Repeats release point and has a fairly low effort operation. Living on the plate with his two-pitch mix. Two-seam fastball (2229 RPM) that was up to 82 with some arm-side run and moved it well to both sides of the plate. Also rides a four-seamer in the top of the zone with higher spin traits. Rolling curveball (1891 RPM) that he can land a lot in the zone that makes it a factor. Secondary third baseman that presents the glove out front well. Some athleticism for the size that moves well with solid fundamentals. Right-handed hitter starts from a medium base and an in-line stance, utilizes a bigger, quick leg lift. Gets on the barrel with middle-of-the-field impact. Some strength. Simple operation in the box that he repeats well. Some two-way potential due to his athleticism. Very good student. Named to the PG Coastal Indoor Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
