2023 West Coast Prospect Showcase
Evan Davis is a 2025 LHP/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Downey, CA who attends Downey. Features a longer, lean frame with room to add. Stretch only operation with core lift and tall and fall mechanics down the plane to an open landing. Fastball displays moderate arm side run. Despite the lack of velocity he was able to get outs with above average command. Curveball was round with big depth. Delivery needs works and the stuff will sure make strides. In the outfield he shows the ability to work through the ball with a good transfer. He throws out of a high 3/4 slot and showed accuracy throughout. At the plate, the lefty has a medium base and takes a short stride to contact. He showcased good barrel control with an up the middle approach. He is a good student.
