Danny Matthews is a 2026 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Southampton, PA who attends St. Joseph's Prep. Matthews works from a medium projectable build with additional room to fill out and add strength in the future. Starting from the OF, he displayed decent buildup play with reliable glove work and good transitions overall. Consistently put throws around the bag with developing arm strength up to 75 mph. Matthews also topped out at 75 mph on the mound, showcasing bigger mechanics with a chest high leg lift and funk to the operation. Released from a consistent high 3/4 slot and remained in line down the mound well with good extension. Spin profile is expected to continue developing, the CB currently registering at 1987 rpm. Offensively, the lefty started from a wider base with a compact hand set and low back elbow, using a toe tap trigger to create impact to the pull side/middle of the field. Flashed quickness to the hands with developing strength. Posted an exit velo of 72 mph. Ran a 7.59 sixty yard dash.
