Owen Ruel is a 2027 C/1B/3B with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Port Saint Lucie, FL who attends Fort Pierce Central. Features a medium, athletic build. Ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary catcher. Uses a low, one knee setup. Shows a clean, on-line transfer into a short arm action. Creates carry on accurate throws. Repeats catch and throw well. Recorded a 2.01 pop time. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes a slightly open stance with a wrapped hand setup. Swings on a long path to contact. Approach is geared middle to pullside. Still developing consistent barrel timing. Can drive balls well when on time. Excellent student.
