Cody Hogan is a 2025 OF/C with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Plainfield, IL, who attends Plainfield South. A bigger frame and thicker build. Room to continue adding strength. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder who fields the ball one-handed off the front foot as he gets into the motion. He has a shorter and more compact arm path through release. Throws were one-hop accurate around the bag. Attacks the ball with some energy and quickness. Longer strides to it, clean transfer. Threw 81 mph during his round of reps in the outfield. A right-handed hitter with a wider base and flexed knees in his stance. Higher handset with a higher back elbow. He used a pull-side approach during his round of BP Swings. He had good intent, strength at impact, and a serious thump off the barrel. Uses a simple stride and rotational swing to work through contact. Produced a 93 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. They also worked out as a catcher with open feet, gaining ground through the motion with an online move out of the crouch. He had a shorter release from his air, getting the ball there in the air to second base. Excpetional student. Named to 2024 Chicago Indoor TP List.
