Giovanni Daniele is a 2027 C/OF with a 5-5 125 lb. frame from Syosset, NY who attends Syosset Senior. Smaller young build with lots of time to grow and get stronger, type of frame to build on quickly. Primary position C, with a bit of a narrow stance out over his toes in his initial setup. Longer mechanical actions at the present and could gain ground a bit more in his transition. Midline transfer to full arm path and emerging overall arm strength that showed velocity up to 58 mph with a pop-time best 2.43 seconds. Good balanced stance at the plate with a slightly open stance. Tight hand setup allowing him to show good looseness and quickness to his hands. Weight shirt is on point as he gets the barrel on plane with a compact, line drive oriented stroke. Mostly middle of the field contact and was consistent with the barrel. Good round of BP, gap to gap line drives, just needs time to add overall physicality. Good projection as an offensive catcher.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
