Frantz Guignard is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Fairview, TX who attends Lovejoy. Medium young build. 8.31 runner in the sixty. Primary middle infielder on defense, moves well from side to side and stays balanced and under control well, fields the ball cleanly, arm strength still developing, has the actions to continue to improve with additional strength. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with limited lower half shift, has an upper body driven swing, keeps his hands tight, uphill swing plane, barrel tends to lag creating mostly opposite field contact. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch only with a compact high 3/4's arm actions, pretty fast pace to the plate, tends to open his front side early. Fastball topped out at 66 mph and did a good job throwing strikes and challenging hitters. Good student.
