Ethan Perkins is a 2024 RHP/1B with a 6-6 170 lb. frame from Rio Vista, CA who attends Rio Vista High School. Features a tall, slender build with room to add. Primary right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a semi-windup delivery into tall and fall mechanics. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a fairly clean arm action. Hides the ball well into release. Fastball sat 71-74 mph with slight armside run. Offering works well at the bottom of the zone. Pared it with a curveball at 62-65 mph showing downward action. Can create depth when spun well. Will throw it early in counts and land it for strikes regularly. Also worked out at first base. Still developing fluid actions through the catchpoint. Can make the routine play. Reached 71 mph across the diamond. Right-handed hitter. Utilizes an upright stance with a narrow base. Swings on a direct path. Developing body control throughout the swing would allow for improved barrel accuracy. Ran a. 7.78 60-yard dash. Very good student.
