2022 Southern California Prospect Showcase
Matthew Airhart is a 2023 OF/ with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Castaic, CA who attends Castaic High School. Compact, wiry build with some athletic traits in the frame. Ran a 6.99 in the 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, showed a good exchange in drills with a sound, confident approach in his actions. Fields it cleanly out front with long strides, short arm action produced one hops to the bag consistently. Left-handed hitter, upright and open stance with a narrow base. Low hand set and leg lift. Swing matches plane well with steady hands through contact. Shows solid barrel control to all fields and found some hard liners up the middle in his round. Good student.
