2023 Fall Midwest Workout Showcase
TJ Brandl is a 2024 1B/3B with a 6-4 230 lb. frame from Almond, WI who attends Amherst. A bigger kid with some strength to the build. Some physicality to his build. Ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman who worked out at the position, fielding with two hands out in front of the body with some accuracy and athleticism on his feeds. Threw 81 mph across the diamond and was accurate around the bag. He had a good spin into the double-play feeds. Gets it out quickly. A right-handed hitter with a wider base, higher-set hands, and a high back elbow. He loads up with his hands deep and is able to get to it out front. He creates some lift after using a lift into contact and swinging hard to create some leverage. He rotates through well with some barrel whip and the ability to impact the ball out front. He got some jump off the barrel and was direct to it. Solid round of BP swings. Produced an 89 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Good student. Named to 2023 Midwest Workout TP List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
