Jacob Bender is a 2026 SS/OF with a 5-11 145 lb. frame from Olney, MD who attends Sherwood. Young and slender middle infielder's build with plenty of room to get stronger. Primary shortstop on defense, arm works easily and is very comfortable throwing from different slots and on the run, moves to the ball and takes good routes carrying his momentum into his throws, active feet to the backhand, all the ingredients to become a next level defensive player. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a late hand hitch load that leaves him behind, drove the ball hard to the middle of the field when he was timed up and created back spin, will continue to improve offensively as he gets stronger and makes adjustments. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
