Donovan Meyer is a 2025 C/RHP/IF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Traverse City, MI who attends Traverse City Central. Medium frame with solid muscularity and more to come. Ran the 60-yard dash in 7.41 seconds. Primary position catcher, starting with a classic initial stance and staying down through transition. Goes to the ball aggressively and they works to a clean midline transfer. Glove shows feel, with medium arm path creating feeds up to 74 mph and a solid 2.00 pop time. Reps on the infield as well, with deliberate footwork and methodical timing through his angles. Made plays and showed same arm strength here. Secondary RHP, working exclusively from the stretch and hands set at the belt. High 3/4 arm action and leverages the ball downhill. True fastball up to 81 mph and went to his plus, changeup that had nice deception and action in the low-70s. Went three hitless innings in live game action. Also showed tighter spinning breaking ball with 11-5 action. Right handed hitter, working from an open base and flatter handset. Comes out of his base at times during swing and will get overtop the pitch. Projectable power for the future. When on plane, saw his best impact in the middle of the field and on line. Elite performer in the classroom as well.
