Elias Otero Ayala is a 2005 middle infielder from Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, with a 6'1", 160 lb. frame. Defensively he has smooth actions with good arm strength (83 mph), and is very accurate. His hands are soft with good footwork. Otero Ayala is a switch hitter with very good bat speed and balance from a spread stance. Left handed he has a line drive swing plane with a good uncoiling action. Right handed he also has a very good swing, but has more lift in his swing. Otero Ayala has a gap to gap approach with high level hitting tools. His game speed is more impressive than his 60 time might suggest. Otero Ayala has a projectable body, and will hit at the next level.
