Kai Lachance is a 2025 3B/IF with a 5-11 195 lb. frame from Wesley Chapel, FL who attends Cypress Creek. Medium, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.83 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, deliberate actions in the dirt, some bend at the waist fielding the ball out front, medium length arm stroke through the backside, funnels it well and shows accuracy on throws across diamond. Fields it with two hands out front at first base, clean funnel working into an over-the-top release point, showed quickness to both transfer and arm action. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base in the box and loads weight onto backside at start, shifts well and incorporates lower half into swing well. Works on a mostly linear path through the zone, shows some jump off of the barrel when squared, line drive carry to all parts of the field off of the barrel. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
