2024 Sophomore National Showcase (2027 Grads)
George Ferguson is a 2027 RHP/1B/3B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Abilene, TX who attends Abilene. Extra big and strong build, stands out physically. Standard side step/leg raise delivery with a compact arm takeaway in back and a over the top arm slot coming through, some effort at release although he repeats his mechanics well and is a strike thrower. Fastball topped out at 91 mph with ride up in the zone. Breaking ball toggles between curveball and slider shape but has tight spin and good power, should be able to continue to refine this pitch. Tends to slow his arm on his change up but gets lots of running action. Three pitch starter profile at minimum and a very good chance to keep improving. 7.55 runner in the sixty. Corner infielder on defense with first base being his best position. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight spread stance with a toe tap trigger and a deep hand load, long and strong swing, flashed power when he was able to get the barrel into the zone on time, mostly oppo to mid field contact.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
