Dylan Monk is a 2024 C/1B, 3B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Monticello, IA who attends Monticello. He has a tall frame with a thick build and present strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Primary catcher that has an even base and a lower setup. He has good footwork and covers ground toward second well. He does a nice job of staying low throughout the process and showed nice arm strength behind the plate. His arm action is longer, so releasing the ball quicker could shave time off his already impressive 2.14 second pop time to second. He was consistently accurate, placing all of his throws around the base. He showed good actions during the game, blocking and receiving the ball well. Right-handed hitter that starts with an open stance at the plate. He has a longer swing and showed nice strength in his hands. He is aggressive at the plate, attacking balls that are in the zone. He has a line drive approach and looks to drive the ball into the gaps. Very good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
