Enrique Diaz is a 2023 SS with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Putnam, CT who attends Putnam. Medium, well-proportioned frame with some room to add strength and fill out. Recorded a 7.43 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary shortstop with solid fundamentals throughout the fielding process. Works downhill to funnel cleanly out in-front, showed the ability to change arm angles when necessary and produced accurate throws up to 76 mph across the diamond during drills. Secondary catcher that performed well in-game Showed the ability to thwart the running game by throwing out a runner at third. Displayed clean footwork, a quick exchange and accuracy on his throws. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a tight hand set, high back elbow and leg lift trigger. Compact, line drive stroke with good lower half movements and some leverage out in-front. Used whole field well, showed some feel for the barrel and best impact was to the pullside. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Fundamentally sound prospect with upside behind the plate. Good Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
