Heath Davis is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-0 146 lb. frame from Valdosta, GA who attends Lowndes. A taller frame with a lean build. Room to keep filling out moving forward with length showing throughout the frame. Took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher who used a side step working into a leg lift up around the letters. He pitched from a three-quarters arm slot. Athletic delivery with quick reactions to catch a comebacker on a line and also secure a dribbler ground out near the mound. His fastball worked up to 81 mph and spun up to 2,267 RPMs. The breaking ball was 10-4 breaking pitch with slider traits. The pitch spun up to 2,513 RPMs with horizontal break and tilt to it. He had a ton of confidence in the pitch and sequenced his two pitches well. He went out and competed on the mound with solid stuff shown throughout. Punched out 3 hitters over 2.0 innings pitched during his outing on the bump. A right-handed hitter who has high-set hands and a high-back elbow. Hard swings through the zone with a short and quick stride to get on time. Picked up a base hit in games as well. Worked out as an outfielder who charged it, fielding with two hands. The throws worked up out of the hand and were accurate. Had some strength behind them with a lower flight and carry on them. Threw 82 mph from the outfield during his round of defense. Great student.
