Austin Schmidt is a 2026 OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from Woolwich Twp, NJ who attends Kingsway Reg. Schmidt worked exclusively from his primary OF spot on the event, showcasing aggressive footwork through the baseball with clean transfers and a quick release shown. He produced consistent throws around the plate with developing arm strength up to 74 mph. On the offensive end, the lefty started from an even base with a compact hand set and low back elbow, effectively keeping the hands inside the baseball to generate impact with backspin to the middle of the field. He utilized a toe tap trigger with developing strength that should project in the future. Posted an exit velo of 81 mph. Ran a 7.94 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
