Caleb Van Lant is a 2027 SS/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Murrieta, CA who attends Temecula Valley. Medium frame with compact build; ran 60 yard dash in 6.95 seconds. Hits from wide-based stance, presets hands into bar, keeps hands compact through swing, compact swing plane, could get off of back side more and use legs, showed ability to spray contact around. Primary infielder, developing lateral agility and balance, higher funnel, rakes through backhand, clocked up to 78 mph on throws across. Also took outfield reps, fields off to the side, shuffled footwork, runs through it well, clocked up to 78 mph on throws back to the infield.
