Brayden Hernandez is a 2027 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Montgomery, TX who attends Montgomery High School. Primary LHP with a medium athletic build. Works to to the plate from the full delivery slow and in control. Lands inline well and maintains good balance to the plate. Throws from a mid 3/4 slot from the full arm swing with crossfire action at times. Arm action is clean and ball comes out easy with some deception. Fastball worked up to 82 with late biting tail. Unintentionally cut it at times. Went to a tight tilting slider with good bite and good spin traits. Mixed in a change with fade as and repeated arm speed well. Also flashed a curve once. Mixed and tunneled well missing barrels and keeping hitters off balance. Also played outfield working through the ball well from a steep release. Throws were online and accurate and up to 85 from the outfield. Also played first and looked comfortable around the bag. Smooth actions with good timed releases. Gets the ball out with pace and has a quick transfer and release. Was up to 82 from first. Right handed hitter with an upright narrow base. Uses a medium sized stride into contact. Low hand set that rear back on the load. Showed good rhythm in the box and hands at times. Has a level swing but needs to be more consistent with his swing path. Worked the middle of the field and other way well throughout his round. Good student. Named to the National South Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
