Larson Chafin is a 2027 RHP/SS, OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Gulf Shores, AL who attends Gulf Shores. He has a tall frame for his age with a slender build and plenty of room to fill as he matures. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.66 seconds. Primary right-handed pitcher that uses a knee to belt leg kick and drop and drive back leg mechanics. He works in line with the plate with a short stride, allowing him to release the ball out in front of his body. He throws with a short arm action with a stab in the back and fires from a high 3/4 arm slot. His fastball is flatter and he tried to work it to both sides of the zone. HIs curveball is advanced for his age with sharp horizontal break that becomes more vertical depending on his release point. Secondary short stop that showed active footwork in getting into position and showed good range going back up the middle. He has a strong arm for his age that allowed him to create carry through the base. Right-handed hitter that starts in a spread stance that is slightly open. He uses a toe tap trigger for timing and keeps his hands tight to his body. He showed solid bat speed and features a longer swing that allows him to leverage balls to the pull side when he is on time and makes contact out in front of the plate.
