Jorge Maldonado is a 2023 C/ with a 5-9 187 lb. frame from Aguadilla, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Compact build with solid athletic traits that stand out in the body. Ran a 7.37 in the 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, lower set in crouch with a promising transfer. Has components behind the dish as he gains good momentum with solid arm strength to the bag. Throws have good plane to them. Switch hitter, open stance and wider base with bat head at shoulder depth. Rotates and produces torque. Works the barrel out front with present strength that can develop at the next level. Good student.
