Dean Gobeil is a 2024 C/OF with a 5-10 150 lb. frame from Somerset, MA who attends Somerset. Gobeil showcased the ability from both the outfield and behind the dish, working out of a medium build with room to add strength and fill out. He used a quick compact arm action from both spots, displaying a calculated approach to the ball in the OF. He should see the velocity increase in the future and the mechanics will continue to refine as he matures. At the plate, Gobeil started from a narrow open stance with intent to use the entire field. He looks to create lift in the bat path and successfully sees the ball deep in the zone. As strength in the frame develops further, power potential should tick up as well. Ran a 7.30 sixty yard dash.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
