Ty Herndon is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Mechanicsville, VA who attends Hanover. Recorded a 7.68 second sixty-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher moves from a full wind up with a long side step into an above the belt leg lift as he drops the back leg and rides it down the mound with good extension out of a three-quarter arm slot while using an up-tempo pace to go right after the hitters with the fastball topping 75 mph. Herndon mixes in good off-speed pitches and a change up showing some fighting action with a good arm speed. He also has a change of pace breaking ball with good depth. Also working in the outfield showing some good glove actions with a long arm action accurately throwing 72 mph to the bases. Left-handed hitter steps to the plate with a spread and open stance as he pre-loads the weight on the back leg showing a long swing with lofted contact as he works the ball middle approach with developing backspin. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
