Sergio Salas is a 2023 OF/RHP, 2B with a 5-10 161 lb. frame from Abilene, TX who attends Abilene high school. Ran a 7.30 60-yard dash. Solid run tool and has good instincts on the field. Good athleticism on the field and can play all over the field. Throws from a lower slot in the field and is very accurate. At the plate, currently more hit tool over power tool oriented swing. Active hands pre-pitch and swings with a steeper bat path. There's some lift in the swing that should allow him to keep adding power as he fills out. Shows some bat speed in the swing. His highest exit velocity was 79 MPH. Great student in the classroom.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
